Founder’s story

I worked as a chef for 10 years in London and abroad in restaurants, at events and as a private chef. In the early 2010’s I moved to Yorkshire where I no longer had the easy access to the depth and breadth of ingredients I had enjoyed in London.

This was the seed of an idea that became & Salt, I firmly believed there must be plenty of keen cooks locally, like myself, that want to have convenient access to great ingredients.

A place to spend time browsing for culinary inspiration, an Aladdin’s cave of great ingredients, cookbooks and kitchenware from around the globe with products filling every inch of space from floor to ceiling!
